The US Black Chambers Community Economic Development Corporation’s (USBC CEDC)’s mission is to design, develop and deliver financial education and business improvement programs to underserved communities nationwide. As the Capital Regional SBTRC, we provide advocacy, technical assistance, outreach and financial services on behalf of small and disadvantaged businesses, to encourage, stimulate, promote and assist small businesses to become better prepared to compete for, obtain and manage transportation-related contracts, and subcontracts.
The Capital Region SBTRC Will:
- Provide business capacity building skills and training to small business
- Provide counseling and information on procurement opportunities
- Provide access to capital - DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP)
- Provide assistance with obtaining a surety bond (BEP)
- Provide resource assistance to woman and girls (WITI) in the transportation industry
